I've recently began to study these views beyond the boundaries of how I was trained to view them. Lee-Barnewall's book was very helpful in examining the two common views on this topic. Her handling of the issues was nimble enough to not cloud my thinking because of the sensitivities I have because of my own training, and was a signal to me that there is fresh thinking on this topic that doesn't doesn't feel like a careless handling of the biblical passages.

I am nuts about books. I read on all kinds of topics. I attempt to review each book I read for the sake of my own enrichment as well as conversation starters with others.
