The beginning of Ephesians 4 mentions many practical things for the church to pursue, and today I would like to look at one of them - bearing with one another in love. Here is the command concerning this from Ephesians 4. I have removed the other virtues mentioned so as just to focus on this one:
I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called...bearing with one another in love. Ephesians 4:1–2 (ESV)
And a prayer:
Lord, we need to be reminded to bear with one another in love. There are times we do not like one another, and there are times when our brothers and sisters in you bother us. We remain bothered by them and we do not find our way to bearing with them in love. Remind us today that we have this duty as well as it is a matter of walking worthy of the calling in life that you have given us.

I am nuts about books. I read on all kinds of topics. I attempt to review each book I read for the sake of my own enrichment as well as conversation starters with others.
God has called me to be a pastor, and occasionally I have some pastoral thoughts I like to share.
