Churches have a lot they are supposed to think about. There are more considerations than ever before in my opinion. Yet, the church must dwell / gaze / think on excellent and praiseworthy things according to Philippians 4:8.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8 NIV
The best application of this and the best way to focus your thoughts is to start with gazing on Jesus Christ.
Holy Spirit of God, urge the church of Jesus Christ to gaze on him today, to think of him today, and to rejoice over his praiseworthiness today! Remind the church that it must take its mind off of all the other distractions and spend time thinking on Jesus.
